Born in Prato in 1977, he began fishing at the age of ten. At fifteen, with his first spinning rod and a handful of rotating spoons, he began venturing into the small streams of the surrounding hills: it was at this stage that he developed the love that still binds him to the streams of the Apennines and the brown trout that populate them. For a long time, he dedicated himself to bass fishing and pike fishing with artificials, then, in 2014, while accompanying a friend to enrol in a fly fishing course at the Prato fly club, he became fascinated by the atmosphere and became hooked on this new world. Construction became a passion within a passion and, spurred on and supported by his club mates, he began participating in the first construction contests, achieving excellent results. In 2018, he won the construction contest twice in "La Pesca Mosca e Spinning" and in the same year he also won the annual prize for the best imitation of 2018 from the same magazine, which invited him to build in its stand at the Pescare Show 2019. A few months later he participated in the 32nd Slovenian Open Fly Tying championship, winning 1st place in the Dry Flies category and 2nd place in the Nymphs & Wet Flies category. Also in 2019, he wins the 20th edition of the historic Villa Guidini Construction Trophy. Finally, in 2022, he takes the top step of the podium at the 5th National Construction Trophy 'Bugia Nen'.
He regularly participates in national and international construction fairs and rallies, as this is a continuous stimulus for him to improve and experiment with new things. He now collaborates with major fly fishing brands as a pro-staff and tester for their products. He mainly fishes trout and grayling in Italian and European rivers, with a preference for moving water and hunting with imitations of movement. For some years now, he has been a member of the board of directors of the Prato fly club, with which he habitually meets to organise courses and activities aimed at popularising and enhancing fly fishing.
